Toronto Restauranteur Receives International Recognition: “Felix Trattoria” Named #1 Best New Restaurant in America
TORONTO, Nov. 09, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Gusto 54 Restaurant Group, based in Toronto, is proud to announce that its Los Angeles restaurant, Felix Trattoria, has been named as the #1 Restaurant in America by Esquire Magazine.
Each year, the international publication issues its highly anticipated list of the country’s Best New Restaurants. The list, which is assembled by Food & Drinks Editor Jeff Gordinier, ranks higher than any other list issued throughout the year.
Felix Trattoria, owned by Gusto 54 Restaurant Group, took home the top spot on the list.
The visionary behind Gusto 54 is Janet Zuccarini, a Toronto entrepreneur who is the restaurant group’s owner and Chief Executive Officer.

Making it on the esteemed roster is no small feat. Each restaurant is rigorously evaluated, reviewed and set against the highest standards before being considered for a spot.
Janet’s LA restaurant is not the only one receiving accolades, her Toronto group of restaurants which includes Trattoria Nervosa, Gusto 101, Pai Northern Thai Kitchen and Kiin, have all been recognized as being amongst the top cocktail and food destinations in Toronto. Janet is not showing any signs of stopping while she’s ahead with another restaurant slated for this November called Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen and Gusto 501 which will be introduced to the Corktown neighbourhood in 2018.
